  • Substandard housing is a problem that plagues individuals, communities and entire nations around the world.
  • Binggrae sponsors Habitat for Humanity through employee volunteer programs and donations to solve the problem
    of substandard housing of the communities. At work in 89 nations, the ministry has housed more than 750,000 individuals in 3,000 communities.
  • Each person touched by Habitat for Humanity-whether a homeowner, volunteer or other supporter-becomes a force of change, a link in the chain of real solutions to the real problem of inadequate housing in our world.

  • The Kim Koo Foundation is a non-profit corporation established on the 29th of December, 1993. The former president of Binggrae Kim Ho Youn contributed 12 billion won to create this foundation, his vision being the development of the nation through enhancing the interests and opportunities of the society and supporting academic research and education. Many primary, secondary, and post-secondary schools and research centres are enjoying benefits
    from the scholarship programs and financial aid from The Kim Koo Foundation.
  • The Philosophy of The Kim Koo Foundation
    The operational philosophy of the foundation is based on Kim Koo's ideal for culture state and enlightenment.
    He emphasized that good education should form the root of a democratic society and it has to be open to different religions and ideologies; Education and tolerance are the core elements of his idea for a culture state of Korea.
  • Academic Research and HRD Programs
    The Kim Koo Foundation runs various scholarship programs and supports research centres in and out of Korea. Students who have wonderful attitudes but no financial support from their families, who are not gaining government support, or who are disabled are finding their hopes through the scholarships and other programs provided by the foundation.

  • Since its inaugural contest in 1986, Binggrae Children’s art contest has been held annually with great success- thanks to the enthusiasm and efforts of parents and art teachers throughout many council boroughs, who mobilized more than 50,000 young artists to participate.
  • A bright, colorful design that brings a smile to people’s faces is what we look for
    The contest, with a theme of “Bright World and Bright Mind” is opened to three groups including preschool, primary grade and upper grade of elementary school and provides the children with a positive opportunity to express their struggles, look toward the future, and celebrate artistic effort. In particular, the contest is offered with performance
    by entertainers and recreation program for participation of parents and children together to provide memorable event for the families. Moreover, all winning pieces of artwork will be on display in an exhibition.

    This contest introduces children to such artistic considerations as form, composition and color and the children with experience in participating the contest will learn to develop their artistic abilities.
