Korea, realizing that what the older generation must do for the younger generation is to support and invest in education, is known for their passionate attitude about education. The reality, however, is that although the society as a whole recognizes the importance of education as an ideal, there hasn¡¯t been enough efforts so far. This is especially evident in the case of art; there are not enough venues and financial resources
for young talents to showcase their talent. Therefore, they face difficulties in practicing their artistic senses and skills.

Realizing that we must do more to improve this situation, Binggrae has created the National Student Photography Contest.
Since its inauguration in 2001, this contest is divided into two separate competitions, college student and high school students since the second contest, and, students who have a passion for photography, as well as students who are majoring in photography are eligible to participate in the competition.
This competition is sponsored by the Korea Academy of Photography, and, details of competition are announced before the start of summer break, application is closed in November, and winners are announced in December (specific dates are subject to change).
Binggrae promises to make a commitment to make every effort for our future artists so they can smile happily (Binggrae means happy smile in Korean). We hope to have as many future photographers participate as possible so they can refresh the current art photography, and give us much hope and high expectations for the future.
